Business Exposed

All Businesses Prosper

We are hard pressed to think of any business that could not prosper or realize a benefit by being found online whether selling specific services/products or being a repository of additional information or thought.  To this end we want to highlight some web businesses functions and processes to make success happen.  Pre-thought and planning are crucial.

Below are some examples of necessary practices.

Ecommerce

This one is probably the most obvious.  To optimize your presence one would want very detailed product specifications along with clear cut visuals.  Leaving anything to chance opens one up to customers who will inevitably say or communicate back to you;  “But I thought __________”  <- fill in the blank.  This can be a huge time burn if not planned and addressed first.  Some may say that is where our great customer service comes in!  Customers Do Not inherently want to experience any “after purchase” customer service unless additional involvement is known prior.  Other obvious systems in place need to be networking and opt-in email to share new products or related products they may be interested in and to help keep you “top of mind”.

Real Estate

With the overwhelming statistics that show buyers and sellers start the real estate process gathering information online, some say up to 94% now, it is imperative to have a web presence and IDX (multiple listing service) Search capability available with easy to access tools.  Along with sharing available properties on your web site a client account with constant email of “New to Market” property system needs to be in place.  Other parts of your site will highlight your market knowledge as well as local area expertise.  After all almost any real estate purchase leans heavily on location, location, location, right?

Brick and Mortar Store Location

Ok, maybe you do not sell online, but when people go searching for a product or materials you offer you want to be found first.  Once they find you, a detailed explanation and pictures of what you do offer will make people more inclined to visit.  Mapping features and client testimonials are highly recommended when drawing customers to a physical location.

These are just some examples of conveying information to your eventual web users online.  Some are plainly obvious and some are used to start the creative process of how best to sell or provide what you have to offer.  Simple, clear and concise is a good rule of thumb.
